On Daisy's birthday we were told that our insurance would not cover an ultrasound to find out the sex of my baby at this point in my pregnancy without some other medical reasons (since then we've discovered that they will cover it). Michael was determined that we find out boy or girl, so we just scheduled our own ultrasound for $50. We had the option of upgrading and getting a video in the 4D, but we really just wanted to know if it was a boy or girl. IT'S A BOY! This is one of the six or so pictures they gave us from the ultrasound. It looks pretty blobby, but it really is cool if you can figure it out. So let me try to guide you in seeing the baby. That big glare at the top is his head. That glare kind of extends to the right a bit and that is the placenta. The dark splotches below the forehead are his eyes. The bright glare to the left of and under the splotches is his right arm. Just to the right of the very center of the picture are two white spots...those are his calves. His bottom/thigh is a bright spot there just below with a light brown/gray area going down his leg (up in the picture). So, if that helps, you can see our baby boy laying on his left side, curled up, with his head on the placenta...I guess it works well as a pillow :)
