Sorry I've been so bad about posting lately. A little update: For those of you who don't know yet, I am about 8 weeks pregnant! We are very excited for another little peanut to join our family (Michael's dad says it's a girl, and he's never been wrong before apparently). I am nauseous as all get out, but haven't thrown up yet. I am also taking naps with Jack every day since I'm tired all the time. Speaking of Jack, he gets cuter every day. This video was taken right after we got him this new toy (I know, he's spoiled). He still gets SO excited every time we set it up for him to walk with it. I love this kid.

Jack in the Box
Yesterday, Michael received 20 lbs. of scuppernongs via UPS.
Scuppernongs are a kind of grape that only grows in North
Carolina. They have a thick skin (I don't eat the skins, they're
pretty sour) that you puncture with your teeth, then you suck
out the guts of the grape and spit out the seeds. They are the
biggest grapes I've ever seen. Jack liked to suck on the skins of
the grapes, but even more so he enjoyed playing in the box
that the grapes came in. What a silly boy!
Peek-a-boo!
Being trapped is fun!
I bet you guys are jealous!

Jack is stuck in the box.
You can hear his fake laugh in this video.

Jack's New Toy
I love spoiling this little boy. Last week, Michael and I were trying to go to a hobby store across town. Well, it was closed when we got there, but was going to open in an hour or so. We decided to go into what looked like a podunk little kids clothing/book store. Well, let's just say that we got sucked in. There were millions of toys. It was so much fun. We couldn't just go in there and not get Jack anything (we won't be returning anytime soon for that very reason), so we picked out this drum and a little ball for him. As you can tell from the video, he loves the drums. And we had just as much fun watching him play with it.

Jack's Friends...mostly Riley
Riley loves Jack, and though it may not seem
like it in this picture, Jack loves Riley.
This is Jack biting the ear of Elliot.
Elliot lives at Campus Heights and they
spent a few days hanging out together.
Riley and Jack played together while
we played sand volleyball.
I just wanted to post a few cute pictures of Jack
and his friends. I think that this is my fav.

Random Jack
Jack likes playing in this Pooh walker even though
his feet don't touch enough for him to walk.
Sometimes he can push the Pooh toy
down far enough for it to play music.
Sometimes Jack's spit-up aim is spot on.
Disgusting.
Jack emptied the crackers all out on the table
and thought it was great fun.
The wet wipe containers happen to
be some of Jack's favorite toys.
That lid can entertain for hours...
These are two more of Jack's favorite toys.
An M&M tin and two metal rings linked together.
Great noise-makers.

Haircut Fever
So, three of my friends and I decided that we
needed change in our lives...so we all got haircuts
the same week. We took before and after shots
with the intent to show the major contrast.
This first picture is of Kimbi prior to the haircut.
Kimbi afterwards.
Hot mama.
Janina before.
Janina after.
Brooke had a hard time making a serious face for the before picture.
We finally got this one.
We'd like to take this time to thank our
hairdressers/stylists. Brooke's sister cut Kimbi,
Janina, and Brooke's hair and Terry cut mine
while we were in Prescott visiting.
Brooke afterwards.
Me before.
Me after..."such a difference"
(and if you didn't get that quote, it's from Return to Me,
which I've probably watched a hundred times...
my favorite water scene at the restaurant).
